Year 6 Visit World-famous Terracotta Warriors

This term Year 6 have been studying Ancient China. As part of this topic, we have learnt about the different dynasties and key people and events in Chinese history. Recently, we have studied 'The Tiger of Qin', Emperor Qin Shi Huang, who unified the warring states, improved and rebuilt the Great Wall and ordered the creation of the Terracotta Warriors to protect him in the afterlife.

On Wednesday 7th March, Year 6 travelled to the World Museum in Liverpool to see some of the warriors. It was a fantastic opportunity as the exhibition is only running for a short time. Children took part in an archaeology workshop to learn more about how the soldiers were discovered.
